As a QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of complex mobile and web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, execute automated and manual testing, and troubleshoot issues from development through production deployment. This role provides an opportunity to influence product quality while working with cutting-edge testing tools and frameworks in a collaborative, Agile environment. You will contribute to process improvements, mentor junior engineers, and help build scalable, maintainable automation suites that support the business's growth and innovation objectives.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will:

  • Define and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases for mobile and web applications
  • Conduct manual, functional, integration, regression, and automation testing to ensure software quality
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Appium, Selenium, Python, and BDD/TDD frameworks
  • Execute test scripts across Android and iOS emulators, simulators, and cloud platforms like SauceLabs or BrowserStack
  • Collaborate with development and business teams to identify risks, troubleshoot defects, and perform root cause analysis
  • Lead bug triage sessions, provide detailed defect reports, and track resolution progress
  • Ensure requirements traceability and contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices and processes

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

  • 4-8 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, preferably with retail or insurance domain projects
  • Strong experience with mobile application testing (iOS and Android) and web applications
  • Proficiency in Appium, Python, Selenium, RestAssured, Robot, and BDD/TDD frameworks
  • Solid understanding of web services, APIs, GraphQL, and microservices testing
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git, GitLab, GitHub), and test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, HP ALM)
  • Knowledge of databases such as SQL and Oracle
  • Hands-on experience with Agile development practices and tools like Jira
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Preferred: Basic programming knowledge in Python or Java, cloud testing platforms, and automated test scheduling
