REPORTS TO:       Vice President, NYC Shelter Programs (single/family)

LOCATION:          New York (Various Locations)

SALARY:               $90,000 – $105,000

SUMMARY:

The NYC Regional Director of Quality Assurance will work with NYC Shelter programs to create a standardization of shelter forms, policies, and chart management. They will track compliance records for Security, Facilities, and Social Services and assist programs in performance evaluation through chart auditing.  Individual will work in conjunction with senior leadership to report recommendations for Quality Improvements. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Understand State and City requirements for NYC Shelter compliance and stay appraised of any changes or updates to policies and procedures. 
  • Report all changes of State and City policies to Program Management.
  • Create a standardization of all forms, policies, and chart management for NYC Shelters
  • Track compliance records for shelter programs (facilities/operations and social services) to ensure that they meet requirements of funders
  • Conduct internal audits of charts in all NYC Shelter facilities to certify that they meet contract requirements 
  • Identify gaps, missing information and areas of improvement in chart records which include but not limited to ILP completion, Bio-Psychosocial, Intake documents, and Progress notes. 
  • Review Critical binder to ensure all required information and records are up to date.
  • Review all operations and facility records to ensure RSRI and OTDA readiness. 
  • Communicate with senior leadership and service providers to correct deficiencies. 
  • Monitor and track incident reports involving NYC Shelters
  • Provide ongoing support to social shelter leadership regarding quality related issues. 
  • Attend and participate in all required agency meetings
  • Present all QA findings in Monthly report to Senior Leadership
  • Perform all/other duties as directed by management.                           

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s and /or Master’s degree in Human Services related field, social work, or organization          development.
  • A minimum of 3 years of quality assurance or shelter program evaluation experience. 
  • Knowledge of DHS and OTDA requirements for compliance
  • Ability to travel to different NYC shelter facilities and Westchester main office
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
  • Proficiency with computer programs such as Google workspace, Microsoft office suites and data analyst programs.
