Job Overview

HealthAsyst®, a leader in healthcare IT services and product development, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in software testing. As a QA professional, you will ensure high-quality delivery across our healthcare software solutions by designing and executing robust manual testing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain manual test cases based on product requirements and functional specifications.
  • Conduct comprehensive functional, regression, integration, and usability testing.
  • Track and manage defects using bug-tracking tools such as JIRA, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
  • Validate data using SQL queries and backend checks.
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test summary reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product owners, business analysts) to ensure clear understanding of requirements and to promote quality from the start.
  • Work within Agile/Scrum environments to deliver high-quality software in iterative cycles.
  • Optional: Perform basic API testing using tools like Postman (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Bonus: Apply domain knowledge of US healthcare IT (preferred).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in manual testing for enterprise or healthcare applications.
  • Proficient in writing clear and detailed test cases and defect reports.
  • Solid understanding of SQL for data validation and backend testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within sprint-based delivery models.
  • Good to have: Basic knowledge of API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
  • Experience working with bug tracking tools such as Jira.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong collaborative abilities.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

  • Experience or exposure to US healthcare industry workflows or compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Experience in validating healthcare applications, EHR/EMR systems, or related domains.
