Lead Java Automation Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Automation Test Engineer to spearhead our testing efforts and drive quality assurance excellence.

This role requires a strong technical background, leadership capabilities, and expertise in test automation frameworks and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Test Engineers to achieve project goals
• Create acceptance and integration test automation scripts and integrate them with Continuous Integration (Jenkins/Bamboo)
• Contribute to test planning and estimations to ensure alignment with project objectives
• Conduct web application testing, including JS, HTML, and CSS
• Ensure effective collaboration and delivery in an Agile team environment
• Lead multiple testing streams concurrently, meeting deadlines and quality standards
• Identify and address gaps in testing strategies and approaches
• Support and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Core Java and Selenium development
• Expertise in automation frameworks like Java, Selenium, Cucumber, JBehave, or Soap UI
• Proficiency in testing APIs (e.g., REST, JSON, XML) and using Eclipse IDE
• Strong knowledge of Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and test planning processes
• Competency in Functional, Usability, Compatibility, Accessibility, Regression, and Requirements/Documentation testing methods
• Familiarity with tools like SQL, XML, JSON, Fiddler, Postman, and HP ALM
• Background in JBehave or BDD (Cucumber) frameworks
• Experience in web testing environments involving JS, HTML, and CSS
• Effective English communication skills at a B2+ level

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with API Testing and understanding of client-server architecture
