Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Test Lead – Automation to drive quality assurance activities across lending and savings applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Playwright with TypeScript, automation framework development, test planning, execution, and client communication. The selected candidate will take end-to-end ownership of testing deliverables, including automation scripting, execution, review coordination, quality oversight, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead testing activities across assigned projects and modules.
• Own end-to-end QA deliverables, including planning, execution, defect management, and reporting.
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automation test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Coordinate functional and automation testing activities to ensure product quality.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, and clients to understand requirements and validate deliverables.
• Track, manage, and report defects through their lifecycle.
• Review test cases, automation scripts, and test execution results.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and blockers to stakeholders.
• Support CI/CD integration and automation execution through GitHub or similar tools.
• Ensure adherence to testing standards, processes, and best practices.

Mandatory Requirements

• 8+ years of overall experience in Software Testing / QA.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Automation Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript (minimum 5 years).
• Experience leading QA activities and managing testing deliverables independently.
• Hands-on experience with test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools, preferably GitHub.
• Working knowledge of Jira and/or Azure DevOps.
• Experience managing client communication and stakeholder interactions.
• Experience mentoring or handling junior QA resources.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in BFSI domain projects.
• Exposure to Lending, Banking, Savings, or Financial Services applications.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
