This role is a senior technical leadership position focused on driving end-to-end test automation strategy across system and integration testing environments. You will define the automation vision, select and scale frameworks, and ensure high-quality, reusable test solutions across multiple projects. The position blends hands-on automation engineering with strategic leadership, including mentoring teams and setting best practices. You will also play a key role in embedding AI-driven testing approaches to accelerate test design, execution, and analysis. Working closely with architects, product owners, and engineering teams, you will help ensure robust quality across CI/CD pipelines. This is a highly collaborative and impact-driven environment where innovation in testing is encouraged and valued.

Accountabilities

  • Own and define the overall test automation strategy for system and integration testing, including what to automate and how to optimize coverage and efficiency.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, Playwright), ensuring long-term maintainability across projects.
  • Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable smoke, sanity, and regression testing with clear and actionable reporting.
  • Leverage AI-driven testing approaches to improve test design, scripting efficiency, test data creation, and result analysis.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide testing teams, reviewing automation work and driving adherence to best practices, standards, and coding guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including architects, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of overall experience in software testing, with at least 5+ years in test automation and proven experience in leading automation initiatives.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in modern automation frameworks such as Robot Framework, Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
  • Solid programming or scripting skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript for building and maintaining automation solutions.
  • Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and techniques, including GenAI for test design, script generation, or test optimization.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD tools and practices, including Azure DevOps or Jenkins, along with Git and reporting/dashboarding tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams and mentor junior engineers.
