Job Overview

The role involves planning, executing, and documenting manual testing processes for applications or systems. You’ll be responsible for API testing, defect management, and collaborating closely with development and business stakeholders to ensure product reliability and functional accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough manual testing of applications or features based on requirements.
• Develop, execute, and document comprehensive test cases, ensuring complete test coverage.
• Use Postman for API testing, validating endpoints and data accuracy.
• Utilize SQL Server to run queries for data validation and verification.
• Log and track defects, perform root cause analysis, and create detailed defect documentation.
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders (product, development, QA, etc.) to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Work within Azure DevOps or Jira for work management, defect tracking, and reporting.

Must-Have Skills and Competencies

• Hands-on experience in manual software testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with Postman for API testing.
• Knowledge of SQL Server and the ability to write/read SQL queries for testing purposes.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Jira for managing test cases, defects, and requirements.
• Analytical skills for effective root cause analysis and defect reporting.
• Ability to document clear, reproducible test results and communicate findings effectively.
• Strong teamwork and stakeholder collaboration abilities.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to test automation concepts or scripting.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Any relevant testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB).
• Prior experience with cloud application testing or additional testing tools.
