Job Description We are looking for a talented and experienced Sr. Automation Tester to lead our testing efforts and drive innovation. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications. Your expertise in Playwright and UK Mortgage domain knowledge will be instrumental in delivering exceptional testing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Perform functional, regression, and performance testing of web applications, focusing on UK Mortgage processes.
• Identify and document bugs and issues, utilizing tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps for efficient tracking.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas of improvement.
• Continuously enhance test automation frameworks and processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends to ensure best practices are adopted.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in web automation testing with Playwright is mandatory.
• Strong programming skills in C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python are essential.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and version control systems is required.
• Familiarity with test management tools and bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps) is preferred.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies is a must.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail are crucial for this role.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams are essential.
• Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured) is desirable.
• ISTQB certification or relevant industry certifications are preferred.
