Software Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer specialized in ensuring the quality, reliability, and optimal performance of our software products. In this role, you will leverage both manual and automated testing approaches, validate software on various devices, and contribute to robust API testing. Additionally, you will play an integral part in integrating QA processes with DevOps workflows, helping to streamline development and release pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manual & Automated Testing:
  • Conduct thorough manual testing of applications to detect and document defects, ensuring software meets functional and business requirements.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts to improve testing coverage, efficiency, and consistency across releases.
• Device & Embedded System Testing:
  • Execute on-device testing for software deployed on hardware and embedded platforms, ensuring compatibility and reliability.
• API Testing:
  • Perform comprehensive API testing, including functional, regression, and integration tests using industry-standard tools.
• Documentation & Quality Reporting:
  • Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, cases, and bug reports.
  • Track and manage defects using DevOps boards or issue tracking systems (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
• Collaboration & Troubleshooting:
  • Work closely with development teams to reproduce, analyze, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Process Improvement:
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance testing methodologies and processes for higher efficiency and quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Proficiency in API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Experience with hardware device or embedded system testing.
• Working knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools, ideally within DevOps ecosystems (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
• Skilled in writing detailed test plans, test cases, and maintaining accurate QA documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage tasks independently and excel within collaborative, fast-paced development settings.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or Robot Framework.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and integration of CI/CD pipelines within QA workflows.
• Exposure to performance, security, or load testing methodologies.
