The Senior QA Automation Engineer takes ownership of the QA automation strategy, framework design, and delivery. This role leads the automation team, mentors engineers, and drives quality initiatives across the SDLC. The lead ensures the automation aligns with business goals and technical standards, with a focus on scalability and maintainability.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive QA automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing using Java, and Cucumber.
• Drive the automation strategy, including test planning, framework enhancements, and tool selection.
• Mentor and coach QA automation engineers to improve skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Review and approve test plans, test cases, and automation scripts to ensure coverage and quality.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and DevOps teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop QA metrics and dashboards to measure automation effectiveness and product quality.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex issues in test automation and production environments.
• Advocate for automation and quality improvements across teams and departments.
• Manage release governance and coordinate cross-team testing efforts.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend innovations to improve QA processes.

Requirements

Experience & Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in QA automation engineering, including leadership roles.
• Expertise in Java, Cucumber, Selenium, and API testing tools.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Proven track record of leading automation teams and delivering enterprise-scale automation solutions.
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
