SDET (QA Automation Engineer)

We’re looking for a talented and motivated SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our team at a leading global firm providing a wide range of services. As a key member of our engineering team, you’ll play a vital role in driving quality through innovative automation solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Champion Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web UIs using Cypress and APIs using REST Assured/Postman.
• Collaborate for Success: Work closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to understand system architecture, design automation solutions, and contribute to our blue-green deployment strategy.
• Automate the CI/CD Pipeline: Integrate your test scripts with Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar tools to enable continuous testing during deployments.
• Deliver High-Quality Releases: Create and manage test plans and cases, perform regression, smoke, and load testing to ensure flawless releases.
• Build Scalable and Reusable Tests: Develop robust automation that delivers rapid feedback on product quality.
• Master API Testing: Utilize REST Assured and Postman to validate RESTful services and ensure they meet specifications.
• Champion Best Practices: Participate in code reviews and promote high-quality automation practices.
• Monitor and Improve: Track test results, identify bugs, and report issues to ensure quick resolutions.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Contribute to overall quality initiatives by suggesting improvements to automation coverage, processes, and methodologies.

What You’ll Bring

• 4-9 years of experience in QA automation
• Strong proficiency in Java, Cypress, REST Assured, Postman, and CI/CD tools
• Experience with blue-green deployment strategies a plus
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Passion for quality and continuous improvement
