Role Description This full-time remote Quality Assurance Tester role focuses on validating the quality and reliability of Merak Tech’s software solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing manual test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and verifying fixes across web and mobile applications. The role involves collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements, clarify expected behavior, and ensure features meet functional and non-functional standards. The Quality Assurance Tester will help maintain test documentation, contribute to regression and acceptance testing, and support continuous improvement of QA processes and tools. The position also requires proactive communication, adherence to timelines, and a strong commitment to delivering stable, user-friendly solutions to clients.

Qualifications

• Strong Quality Assurance fundamentals, including understanding of QA methodologies, defect lifecycle, and test planning.
• Hands-on experience in Manual Testing, with the ability to design and execute Test Cases and test scenarios.
• Proficiency in Test Execution activities, including regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Well-developed Analytical Skills for troubleshooting issues, interpreting requirements, and assessing impact of defects.
• Familiarity with test management and bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar platforms).
• Solid understanding of web and/or mobile applications, APIs, and common software architectures.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear test documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience testing ERP, business management, or AI-driven systems is a plus; familiarity with Odoo is highly beneficial.
