Job Overview:

A reputed Oman-based insurance company is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to support its TCS BaNCS Core System implementation project. This is a 2-year onsite contractual role aimed at ensuring the highest quality standards throughout the transformation initiative. If you have a solid background in quality assurance, particularly in the insurance domain and with TCS BaNCS implementation experience, this is a unique opportunity to work on a high-impact, enterprise-scale project abroad.

Established in 1989, the organization is a leading Omani Public Joint Stock Company offering a wide range of insurance products including health, life, motor, and general insurance. The company is undertaking a major transformation with the implementation of TCS BaNCS, aiming to enhance digital capabilities, operational efficiency, and customer experience through cutting-edge technology.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual and automated testing to ensure systems meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Prepare detailed test plans, cases, scripts, and test reports in collaboration with business units.
  • Log defects with supporting documentation and report testing status to stakeholders.
  • Monitor compliance with established quality procedures and assess associated risks.
  • Participate in the full QA lifecycle, including analysis, execution, defect management, and retesting.
  • Provide training and support to team members as needed.
  • Maintain continuous communication with development teams, business analysts, and project leads for resolution of issues.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing / quality assurance roles.
  • Experience in TCS BaNCS implementations is mandatory (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with insurance processes and systems is a significant plus.
  • Relevant academic qualifications in IT, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Ability to follow-up with stakeholders and work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Project Background – TCS BaNCS Core System:

TCS BaNCS is a cloud-native, microservices-based core platform supporting transformation in financial services, offering capabilities in core banking, payments, wealth management, and treasury. This project will drive scalability and integration of best-of-breed systems for the client’s next-generation digital infrastructure.
