Protegrity is seeking a passionate and talented Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering, IAP Protector Team.

This job is for your if You are passionate and self-driven test engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer (QA), you will contribute to testing and automating the test cases of the Data security software in a fast-paced Agile environment. This position is perfect for smart technical individual who enjoy working in Kubernetes and Docker Container technologies for AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift and working in a team of talented engineers being part of end-to-end product delivery cycle.

To qualify, you should have 3+ years of relevant experience in testing and automation for variety of Kubernetes applications, Cloud applications and general application software. You should be highly versatile with basics of Python or Shell/Bash programming, Linux command line, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm and knowledge of basic Go and C programming. You must be in touch with the latest trends in technology.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to testing, automating IAP protector product family with Python/ Shell script / Go. Testing Kubernetes deployments using Helm charts.
• Contributes to appropriate software testing methods, standards, tools to achieve well engineered outcome. Ability to work independently by applying testing practices used by the team/organization including usage of automation frameworks, performance benchmarking tools, system monitoring tools, designing the testcase for testing new features implemented in the product, product release certification etc.
• Participating in Agile practices of the team/organization as an individual contributor and a team player.
• Adaptability to learn and enhance skills in the domain of data security alongside the product’s technical environment (like OS, QA automation frameworks, cloud technology, container orchestration, native programming language of the environment, hardware etc.)
• Excellent collaboration abilities within and across teams for technical requirements and product module dependencies.
• Ability to be a good team player and soft skilled person.

Qualifications

• 3+ years post-bachelor’s degree experience as software engineer in testing.
• Proficiency on computer science concepts and programming in Python, Shell scripting, Go programming.
• Experience on Linux OS.
• Should have knowledge about Kubernetes infrastructure, Helm charts and cloud systems like AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenShift and hands-on to Linux command line tools.
• Should consistently work on improving the product quality and usability.
• Should be able to work independently with minimum support.
• Should demonstrate innovative ways of testing the Product.
• Should also work on software performance and optimum resource usage aspects while testing the software product.
• Should have good understanding of sockets, secured sockets, TCP/IP, REST & other networking protocols.
• Familiarity to CI/CD systems and build automation tools. Knowledge of Jenkins preferred.
• Strong at software testing and automating the test case.
• Hands on knowledge about source code management tools like GIT.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with good rapport and collaboration with teammates within the team.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of Kubernetes based application deployment and management.
• Hands on to shell scripting and good knowledge of OS concepts. Linux is the preference.
• Hands on with Docker Concepts and technologies.
• Experience on python/Shell programming language.
• Knowledge of software performance measurements and tuning.
• Has gone through a devops cycle, CI/CD pipelines and software test automations.
• Knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic algorithms.
• Knowhows of Agile process for product delivery.
• Good to have knowledge of working with containerized system like Docker.
• Good to have Knowledge of Public Cloud technologies like AWS/GCP/Azure.

Preferred Qualifications

• BE(CS/IT)/MCA with 3+ years of Experience in software testing.
• Experience in Kubernetes, Cloud and Applications testing.
• Very good at Automation using python, Shell scripting.
• Very good exposure Linux OS and CLI
• Very good exposure to Kubernetes and Helm charts
