Job Overview

73 Strings is seeking a passionate QA Engineer (2–4 years’ experience) to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of its AI-driven web services and web applications for the private capital industry. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions and will collaborate closely with engineering and customer-facing teams to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications and web services.
  • Build and enhance test automation frameworks (POM) using object-oriented programming (C#, Java, or similar), XUnit, and tools such as Playwright or Selenium.
  • Integrate automation test suites into CI/CD pipelines (using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Devtron).
  • Implement API automation using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
  • Create robust locators (XPath, CSS, dynamic selectors) and apply best practices in script synchronization to reduce flaky tests.
  • Leverage AI development tools (e.g., Cursor.AI, Claude Code) to boost productivity.
  • Explore AI-driven solutions like automated test-case generation and computer-use automation.
  • Contribute to performance testing using tools such as K6 or JMeter.

Must-Have Skills and Competencies

  • 2–4 years’ experience in QA automation for web applications and web services.
  • Skill in building and maintaining automation frameworks using POM with C#, Java, or similar OOP languages.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium.
  • Understanding of API automation using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.
  • Proficiency in developing and managing tests in CI/CD systems (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Strong experience with automated locator strategies (XPath, CSS, dynamic selectors), and reducing flaky tests.
  • An innovation mindset: willingness to learn and use AI-powered tools for productivity and test improvement.
  • Collaborative, adaptable approach and good problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating AI-driven tools for test case generation, automation, or multimodal testing inputs.
  • Familiarity with K6, JMeter, or similar tools for performance testing.
  • Exposure to databases for data-driven testing.
  • Previous domain experience in financial tech or private capital industry.

How to Prepare for the Interview

  • Brush up on Playwright/Selenium frameworks, especially POM design patterns.
  • Practice automating REST API tests with Postman and/or Rest Assured including assertions, chaining, and data validation.
  • Gain hands-on familiarity with integrating and running automation tests in CI/CD (Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
  • Refresh skills in C#, Java, or a similar OOP language for automation.
  • Review locator construction strategies (XPath, CSS) and how to improve the reliability of test scripts.
  • Read about or experiment with AI-powered coding/test solutions (Cursor.AI, Claude, etc).
  • Prepare examples of problem-solving, performance testing, and test automation you have implemented.

How to Prepare the Resume

  • Clearly highlight automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, API testing) you have used.
  • Detail test suite integration into CI/CD pipelines and the value it delivered.
  • Specify programming languages and test libraries applied (C#, Java, XUnit, etc.).
  • Mention experience leveraging automation to improve test coverage, reliability, or speed.
  • Note performance testing contributions, use of AI tools (if any), and strong collaboration with product/engineering teams.
  • Quantify achievements (e.g., reduced test execution time, increased coverage, fewer production escapes).
