Job Overview
OIP Insurtech seeks a detail-oriented QA Engineer to support client teams by troubleshooting software applications, ensuring availability and quality standards, and contributing to quality assurance processes. You will be responsible for testing, validating, and documenting software behavior while collaborating closely with development and client teams on innovative projects in the insurance technology space.
Key Responsibilities
- Review product requirement documents to create comprehensive test suites ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Conduct system testing and integration testing on software products.
- Analyze technical specifications and test documentation for gaps or deficiencies in completeness and testability.
- Validate database documents for accurate data mapping within applications.
- Evaluate bug reports (historical and ongoing) to focus testing on high-risk areas.
- Record and document test results compared to expected outcomes.
- Assist in drafting and implementing quality assurance policies and standards.
- Interpret and enforce QA practices across teams.
Must-Have Skills and Competencies
- Experience with various Software Quality Assurance (SQA) methodologies: White-box, Black-box, System, Integration, and Application testing.
- Proficient knowledge of SQL and scripting languages relevant for automation or validation.
- Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM development processes.
- Strong attention to detail (“eye for detail”) with analytical thinking.
- Good communication skills in English (upper-intermediate or above).
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels through reports, presentations, and teamwork.

- Certification or formal knowledge of QA automation tools (considered a top-tier skill for this role).
- Coding background and scripting familiarity to contribute towards test automation or technical troubleshooting.
