Job Purpose

The QA Automation Engineer II role is a technical hands-on position which requires a solid understanding of Automation/Scripting concepts and basic Automation Testing terminology.

What You Will Do:

  • Designs, modifies, and develops test automation code as an individual contributor, and reviews and approves designs and code quality of peers.
  • Able to research, understand, and perform a variety of complicated software development activities including cloud concepts and architectural designs and reviews.
  • Performs code quality reviews of peers and junior developers.
  • Works closely with product management and development group to create / review and understand automated test requirements and user stories.
  • Analyze test results and coordinate with development team for repairing issues and enhancing tests.
  • Develops and maintains suites of automation regression tests that can be used to ensure there is no degradation of quality in existing features.
  • Demonstrates understanding and application of a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures, and evangelizes new concepts, practices, and procedures within the team.
  • Successfully completes individual deliverables with minimal supervision
  • Advocates possible improvements or challenges with the established work processes
  • Designs and executes manual tests to help teams deliver value early.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Deeply involved in the development of Quorum personnel and may direct the work of others and be accountable for their work.
  • Able to mentor or lead small teams on established activities
  • Good understanding of working with CI/CD automation methodologies.
  • Able to write clean code, utilize SOLID principles and automation design patterns.
  • Effectively communicates with internal and external people
  • And other duties as assigned.

What To Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS.
  • 3 - 5 years of C#/.Net engineering experience
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in dedicated automated testing using Selenium WebDriver
  • Experience with developing or using automation frameworks to optimize the creation of automated tests.
  • Excellent understanding of API and UI automation best practices
  • Experience in writing database queries, preferably using Oracle or SQL Server.
  • Strong expertise in automated testing.
  • An understanding of agile concepts, Black box testing and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Has strong innovative and analytical abilities
  • Has solid understanding of object-oriented programming languages
  • Enjoys learning new techniques and technologies and can pick them up quickly
  • Has experience working on an agile team.
  • Has experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks
  • Has experience deploying automated tests across multiple Windows operating systems
  • Is competent working under general direction on complex projects, issues, and problems
  • Has experience with Jenkins, TFS, TeamCity, or Azure DevOps
  • Has experience developing test plans, designs, and test cases
  • Ability to collaborate with developers to identify the root cause of test automation issues and assist with corrective actions
  • Familiarity with:
    • Postman, Rest Assured or WATIR
    • Azure or AWS EC2 environments
    • Agile management practices (Scrum or Kanban)
