Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Testing (SDET) to join our growing Quality Engineering team at Exavalu. As an SDET, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through a mix of manual and automated testing. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-performing, scalable, and defect-free software applications for our clients in industries like Insurance, Healthcare, and Financial Services.

This is a permanent remote position offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere in India.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications (web, mobile, and desktop).
  • Perform both manual and automated testing to ensure application quality.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements.
  • Conduct various types of testing including regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain, improve, and expand automated testing frameworks and scripts.
  • Ensure adherence to QA standards, best practices, and industry guidelines.
  • Analyze test outcomes, provide clear reporting, and suggest improvements for quality and performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and QA best practices.
  • Hands-on experience in test case design, execution, and defect lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working in a collaborative Agile/Scrum team environment.
